Traditionally Styled Furniture
Graceful curves, elaborately carved accents and ornately detailed fabric patterns are the hallmarks of traditional furniture design. Traditionally styled furniture, sometimes referred to as Antique style or Classical Style consists of victorian era, Georgian, French provincial, neoclassical, Queen Anne, Rococo, renaissance, Louis Philippe and Chippendale, to name a few. Some of the features commonly inherent in traditional furniture are floral motifs, ornamental finials and acanthus leaf appliques, cabriole legs, ball and claw or lion's paw feet. Graciously scaled pieces are constructed from heavy, densely grained wood often accented by burled bookmatched veneers with rich deep finishes and antique bronze or gold patina bail handle hardware. Distressed finishes are commonly used to add character and provide an aged look.
